October 7: Exploration of Mental Health Issues Open forum to discuss mental health -- What experiences have we each had with mental health issues, either personally or with family members and/or friends? (What is shared in Juicy Wise Women, stays in JWW)
October 14: Guest presenter, Pauliann Long, LCSW-C Destigmatizing Mental Health Challenges: Learn to openly discuss emotional issues and seek help without shame.
October 21: Deepening our understanding with Pauliann Long, LCSW-C Ms. Long will facilitate a discussion around a variety of mental health issues and help us understand more deeply.
October 28: A Year and a half of Covid and moving forward We’ll continue our discussion with Ms. Long, focusing on the impact of Covid 19 and what lies ahead.
November 4: R.A.I.N. Meditationpresented by Maya Ramamurthy Maya will lead us in Tara Brach’s meditation method, R.A.I.N. (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture) which “... awakens self-compassion and de-conditions the suffering of being at war with ourselves.”
November 11: Mental Wellness Through the Holidays Guest presenter, Viva Goettinger, LPC We will learn about the "Internal Family Systems" approach. Ms. Goettinger will explain why different aspects of our personality can be in conflict, causing us to feel "stuck" or confused about how to move forward. She will help us identify and work with our true "Self" to resolve these conflicts. With the holidays on the horizon, this information will help us "know" what's best for our own mental health and plan and act accordingly
